A week in the life of five food security responders

As farmers there are few things we appreciate more than when the food we are offering is sought out. These past few weeks have offered that opportunity in unexpected ways. We have been touched by the calls, emails and texts we are receiving from Port Angeles eaters desiring local food as a response to food security and public health. In answer to the queries and requests we have received, we are offering pre-ordered Farm Fresh Food Boxes on Saturdays from 12 to 1 PM at the Holy Trinity/North Olympic Library parking lot between Orcas Ave. and Chase St. In this lean time of early spring we have on hand our pastured Tamworth pork, 100% grass fed beef, free range pastured eggs, and (dependent on weekly availability) our organically grown produce. We spent several days this past week harvesting the last of our Crescent and Yukon Gold potatoes and are proud to be able to offer these fresh and abundant potatoes to our Port Angeles community.
